Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and mentor a team of Virtuozzo Product Managers while being hands-on with driving the key tasks
- Drive Virtuozzo product strategy in line with the company vision, long-term goals, brand and skillset
- Communicate internally and externally Virtuozzo product strategy
- Define Virtuozzo products based on comprehensive and relevant approach including but not limited to:
Market segment / niche
- Use cases
- Competitive positioning
- Buying personas
- Pricing strategy
- P&L assessment for each product line
- Go-to-market and channel strategy
- Sales practices
- Partner strategy – bundles, OEM, co-selling etc.
- Professional services, training and support definition
- Assure high product quality and on-time product releases against the roadmap via collaboration with R&D, QA and Support teams in Virtuozzo, participate in internal technical product validation
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Support, Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations within all stages of the product lifecycle
- Measure each product’s sales performance, support overhead, customer perception, and provide corrective directions for product development
- Provide input for revenue targets setup
- Work closely with marketing team on market research, product messaging, communication strategy, go-to-market and channel strategy, product marketing and analyst relationship
- Contribute to the company’s lead generation strategy and tactics
- Engage with Virtuozzo prospects, analyze selection criteria and rejection reasons in order to optimize product roadmap, lower CAC, accelerate sales cycle and onboarding for new customers
- Engage with Virtuozzo customers to receive feedback, share roadmap and upsell in order to increase Virtuozzo products’ adoption, customer satisfaction and LTV
- Work on business development initiatives together with the company leadership
- Act as product evangelist both internally and externally
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree
- 8+ years product management and leadership experience
- Product management/analyst experience in relevant technology sectors:
Required:
- Virtualization (Virtuozzo, KVM, OpenVZ, Microsoft, VMware, Citrix etc)
- Software-defined storage (VMware, Ceph etc)
- Cloud (OpenStack, optionally CloudStack), hyperconvergence (VMware, Nutanix, Pivot3, Scale Computing, Red Hat etc)
- Understanding Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong project management experience, with ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage dependencies & deliver results
- Hands-on technical experience: able to follow and validate customer experience with infrastructure products products: install, configure, administer
- Strategic thinker without loss of detail, with ability to “roll up sleeves” & be part of tactical and technical execution when needed
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to create appropriate KPIs to measure success
- Customer focused, with strong user empathy and ability to understand end user needs and translate into actionable strategies
- Experience in market analysis
- Ability to remain flexible, juggle multiple priorities & adopt direction as needed
- Excellent English written & verbal communication skills are a must, fluency in other languages – German, Spanish, etc. is a huge plus.
