Java Elastic Cloud Platform for Developers

This year Java officially reached full legal age - 21 years old, even hard to believe! It all began in 1995 when James Gosling (who happens to be a star adviser at Jelastic) was working at Sun Microsystems (which has since been acquired by Oracle Corporation) and Java was released as a core component of Sun Microsystems’ Java platform.

We are big fans of Java! Currently multilingual, Jelastic was initially created as pure Java cloud and still maintains a primary focus on this programming language. In 2012 Jelastic won Duke’s Choice Award on JavaOne Conference in San Francisco, California. Jelastic, the company behind the ultra scalable and interoperable Java Cloud hosting platform, has been selected as the Technology Leader Award Winner.
