Virtuozzo is a bare-metal virtualization solution that includes container virtualization, KVM-based virtual machines, software-defined storage along with enterprise features and production support. It runs on top of Virtuozzo Linux, a RHEL-based Linux distribution.
The recommended hardware requirements for running Virtuozzo 7 as a standalone installation are as follows:
To check if the Intel processor supports the “unrestricted guest” feature:
* get_app Download vmxcap.py from: https://github.com/qemu/qemu/blob/master/scripts/kvm/vmxcap
* Run python vmxcap.py | grep -i unrest. The result must be yes.
The actual number of virtual machines and containers you can run on a physical server and their performance depend on resources they will consume.
